About the Role
The Role:
The Account Manager, Influencer Marketing works directly with senior team members to flawlessly execute the strategy built to meet client goals. They are stewards of the process and proactively manage the client file alongside other team members. They display exceptional time management and organizational skills and thrive on adaptability, assignments, and tight deadlines. The Account Manager is responsible for successful project delivery and oversees Account Coordinators from project initiation to successful campaign execution and delivery.
As an Account Manager, you’re expected to jump in at every level, from influencer contract negotiations to tough client conversations. You have a deep understanding of influencers across segments and channels, staying on top of disclosure guidelines, with a clear understanding of best practices for demonstrating the impact of an influencer program.
This position is client-facing and should display confidence when dealing with clients. At this level, you have superior social and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently, while also knowing to ‘manage up’. You will be fostering the career growth, management skills and expertise for the next generation of data-driven social specialists focused in the influencer realm.
Responsibilities include:
-Proactively build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and finding new clients.
-Communicating to clients clearly and addressing their concerns and resolving any conflicts that arise.
-Negotiating and closing business contracts with existing and new clients.
-Delivering sales pitch to prospective clients.
-Preparing and presenting business and account updates to the agency’s management and clients.
-Demonstrate a good understanding of influencer and social media marketing and keeps up to date with current trends.
-Demonstrate tactical proficiency in developing influencer recommendations, content direction, content scheduling, ongoing tracking and reporting on results.
-Execute and oversee strategies including - influencer marketing, content/social strategy, community management.
-Develop content overview documents for influencers outlining program details and content expectations with oversight from senior team.
-Exhibit effective project management working closely with team to prepare status reports for client
-Be a master of process and care about the minutiae of how work is done to ensure efficiencies and practicalities.
-Effectively work within account budget parameters and assist with budget management
-Participate in presentation process including research, audits and proposal development
-Manage team development and growth to meet the demands and expectations of clients
-Oversee your teams influencer marketing campaigns
-Following up clients to ensure they are satisfied with the company’s products or services.
Requirements
At least 4 years of experience in advertising services, influencer marketing, social media etc.
Experience in developing and executing successful client programs.
Experience working on campaigns with total revenue exceeding $500k.
Passion and understanding for influencer marketing
Experience with effectively delegating and/or executing many tactical assignments and accurately judging and reviewing the work of junior staff.
Multitasking and time management skills to manage multiple clients and tasks at the same time
Advanced negotiation and motivational skills.
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to deal with different clients and departments in the organisation.
